Here's our personal selection of products to get you through the summer months, helping keep your mind and body in tip-top condition!
Some of our selections are obvious in terms of what they do and their main benefits. Below are a few explanations of those that may not be so obvious in terms of their seasonal uses and benefits.
Vitamin C helps your body regulate heat and may help related issues like heat strokes and rashes. Also helps collagen production in the skin - which assists in protecting from sun damage. Can help alleviate some symptoms of hayfever (it's a natural antihistamine).
Vitamin E is also known to help protect our skin from sun damage and can help cleanse the body of impurities. Has anti-allergen properties, which may help reduce the severity of seasonal allergies.
Vitamin A has shownpotentialreductions in the risk of skin cancer from research. Additional antioxidants found in the vitamin can help support our immune system and function of vital organs, especially during hotter months. Vitamin A can also help skin growth and repair.
Zinc - extended time out in the sun can dehydrate hair and cause it to damage more easily. We'd recommend zinc to help keep hair hydrated and boost its strength. Zinc also has some antioxidant properties that can help combat adverse effects from prolonged exposure to the sun.
Sage - can help combat excessive sweating.
Probiotics and ginger - can be very useful travel supplements. Probiotics may help ease the digestive system to help transition when travelling abroad or for those who travel long hours for work. Ginger is also known to help with travel/motion sickness.
Electrolytes - help to hydrate before strenuous exercise (or if overindulging in dehydrating drinks such as alcohol) and assist in recovering from being dehydrated.
