The product is a high strength magnesium powder designed to offer support for energy production (both mentally and physically) and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. This tasty flavoured powder mixes into water or juice to make a refreshing beverage.
Why choose this product?
MegaMag® Energen Plus incorporates N-acetyl-carnitine, malic acid and magnesium, together with B vitamins and vitamin C. It also contains the minerals zinc, selenium and iodine.
Each serving of MegaMag® Energen Plus delivers 200mg of magnesium in the glycinate form. Magnesium glycinate has been shown in studies to have superior absorption when compared to other forms of magnesium. It is generally well-tolerated and is especially suited to those with sensitive digestive systems.
Magnesium is a very important mineral, as a co-factor in over 300 hundred enzyme reactions within the body and is also necessary for energy production.
Magnesium is essential for the normal functioning of the nervous system and normal psychological function. It also contributes to a reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Low levels may be associated with irritability and confusion.
The metabolism of carbohydrates and fats to produce energy requires numerous magnesium-dependant chemical reactions. Within every cell in the body, magnesium is essential for the activation of ATP, the fundamental unit of energy within the body’s cells.
Therefore, without proper levels of magnesium, the nutrients which we take in from food and supplements would not be metabolised into energy.
MegaMag® Energen Plus also contains a specific B vitamin combination that includes vitamins B1, B2, B3 and B5. The B vitamins are very important for the production of energy, as well as for psychological function. Some B vitamins also help reduce tiredness and fatigue.
N-acetyl-L-carnitine is involved in the process within the body of converting fat into energy. The most important function L-carnitine has is metabolically, where it supports the transfer of long chain fatty acids across the membranes of the mitochondria, where they are utilised as fuel for energy.
Vitamin C is present in a mineral ascorbate form. The health benefits of vitamin C are many, and include energy production, reducing tiredness and fatigue, as well as supporting the nervous system.
The malic acid in MegaMag® Energen Plus plays a very important role in energy production within each cell.
MegaMag® Energen Plus contains selenium and iodine to support thyroid function. The thyroid gland produces thyroid hormones which are crucial for the control of the body’s metabolism.
