Cecropia (Takuna) has been traditionally used throughout South America for it's perceived microbial properties and general immune system support.

The Rio Health range, new in 2020, is a range of 25 tinctures of mainly South American botanicals.
Each is a 1:3 tincture using 55% alcohol, provided in glass bottles with calibrated dropper for easy dispensing. Most of the plants are grown in Peru where they are ecologically wildcrafted.
Unlike tablets and capsules which need to be broken down by the digestive system, tinctures absorb readily by the body. No excipients are needed so each tincture contains only water, alcohol and the botanical ingredient(s). Tinctures also readily permit easy titration (increasing of dose slowly upward), which is an important consideration for adults and children alike.
*Note that Rio Health tinctures likely can be used at lower dose (number of drops) than some other brands, and are competitively priced.*
Suggested Adult (age 16+ years) Use:
15-30 drops, 2 times daily in 120ml (4 oz.) of water. We recommend starting with a lower dose of 1 drop and titrating up to the 30 drops unless otherwise recommended by your practitioner. Maximum 60 drops per day.
NOTE: can add 3 drops each dosage.
For children aged from 4 (weight/size to be considered), 3 times daily, give one drop per number of years of age.
Each 1.5ml (30 drops) recommended daily dosage contains: Cecropia alcohol water extract which is the equivalent of 500mg Cecropia bark.
