Viridian's Astaxanthin is sourced from fresh water microalgae, cultivated with pristine water from the Himalayas.
It is grown in an ideal climate so the process has minimal environmental impact. There is no artificial heating or cooling just natural sunlight to allow the microalgae to flourish.
The product includes a base or marigold flower, which contains the active carotenoids Meso-zeaxanthin, Lutein and Zeaxanthin. Together, these three carotenoids accumulate the central retina and are the main components of macular pigment and play an important role in optimal visual performance. A recent systematic review and meta-analysis has suggested a variety of health benefits. In addition to visual performance, supporting individuals with cardiovascular-related conditions and diseases such as high cholesterol and atherosclerosis.
