Is this product suitable for children?
Yes, this product can be taken from 2 months, but the capsule should be split and opened for younger children.
Recommended dosage for children:
Under 2 years: ½ capsule daily
2 to 4 years: ½ to 1 capsule daily
5 to 12 years: 1 capsule daily
Dosage
1 capsule one to two times daily, or as directed. We recommend taking it on an empty stomach, either between meals or last thing at night.
If pregnant, breastfeeding, taking any kind of medication or have a medical condition, consult a healthcare practitioner before using this product.
Can capsule be opened and sprinkled onto food?
Yes, onto food no hotter than room temperature.
Can I take Ultra Probioplex ND Capsules on antibiotics?
We recommend taking it after you've finished your course of antibiotics. If on long-term antibiotics, we recommend taking it last thing at night, before bed.
Are there any side effects from taking probiotics?
You may experience a change in bowel function/habits for a few days which may present as a gurgling/wind/change in bowel frequency. This is perfectly natural with taking any probiotic and will generally settle down after a week or so. Reducing the dosage may help alleviate this.
